The SHIELD Gate processing interval during the connection process typically completes within about 1 second, and the overall perceived speed varies depending on the connected site and network environment — similar to regular browser access.
- Wired Network Recommended: More stable than wireless (Wi-Fi) and public Wi-Fi.
- Organizing Unnecessary Browser Extensions: If there are many security and proxy-related extensions, loading all web pages may become slower.
- Spacious Browser State: If there are too many tabs or programs, the entire browser will slow down.
Q. What should I do if it's slow only on a specific site or at a specific time?
Most originate from the target sites or internal network environments.
- Target site self-response: Sites with many images and videos take a long time to load. If it is slow even when accessed directly with a regular browser, it is a characteristic of the site.
- In-house Web Filter and Security Program: Some security solutions may delay or block loading of external site resources. This can be resolved by whitelisting the site.
- Temporary Access Congestion: It slows down temporarily during peak hours when users flock and then recovers.
Verification Method:
- Speed comparison by accessing the same site with a regular browser
- Check if other sites are normal
- Check for Exceptions in Company Web Filter and Security Programs (Administrator/Information Security Personnel)
- If it continues, contact the administrator along with the occurrence time and target URL.
